will a trans from a 92-95 dx work on a d16 y8?

Default will a trans from a 92-95 dx work on a d16 y8?

i am not sure what model the trans is( alls i know is its a dx tranny dont know what year)...but i need to know if this is going to work...i need to switch everything from my y8 trans onto this one since all the sensors and stuff are removed....is everythiung the same? or will it not work for me?

yes it will bolt on and work. but the gear ratio is slightly different. but it will work.

oh wow. that sucks
i was running with y8 tranny on my d16z6 engine for like a year with no problem until i did the b16a swap.

All 92-00 5spd D-series trannys are interchangable.

but are the gears on the vss the same or do i need the one for the 92-95 trans?
