Default Will stock injectors + resistor box on my EG hurt my car?

will it damage anything if I have stock 240cc's w/ a honda resistor box? I'm in the process of installing a turbo.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

if you are obd I injectors yes it will. You only run resistor box on EFs, H series injectors and DSM injectors.

you're gonna need bigger injectors for FI, unless your runnig FMU(don't)
time to spend the cash for some RCs

I do have bigger injectors, I have some dsm 450cc's. I just need to install them. Thats the reason I have a resistor box installed. I have most of the parts in I need to install my turbo, but since its my daily driver I'm trying to do things piece by piece.

The 450's were in there w/ the resistor box correctly wired up, but I took it for a test drive and in first gear I couldn't rev past 5k. It was as if I hit a rev limiter, even with the V-AFC trimmed to -50% across the board. I guess it was still to rich.

The only reason I even attempted to install those DSM's w/ "box" on my stock D16Z6 was because I read on some thread that it was possible. They said that it would work just like an AFC-HACK.

Oh and I forgot to mention...I drove home with the stock 240cc's with the resistor box wired up. I felt fine to me. I drove like stock.

Even though it feels normal, I'm still worried that it secretly and slowly frying my ECU.

any comments are welcome.

I would get an Air to Fuel meter installed but it won't be too precise
I got a feeling it's running crappy somehow, maybe too lean

yeah i dont think you'll be able to lean 450's out enough with the afc hack to have a stock z6 running ok.

those are big injectors!

usually its in the -30to-40 range running boost with those injectors..
-50 isnt that much more than that..

but yeah, i'm not sure about the resistorbox on injectors that dont call for it.
but I really wouldnt chance it.

why dont you try and find some smaller injectors that actually need a resistor box?
I believe there should be some from some older ef's or something that might work..

putting on some smaller injectors that need a resistor box

is not a bad idea, but if all goes according to plan, I

should have that turbo in about a month or two. Budjet

is kinda tight and I can't afford to buy anything that I don't have to.
