Yes it will. This is the ECU that Hondata recomends to use with their engine management system. It was the stock ECU on DOHC VTEC Del Sols. The main difference between it and the P28 is that the P30 has knock control. I would think that being it was from a Dohc Vtec car that it would be calibrated very differently and not work well or at all on the Sohc Vtec engines. However Hondata claims this is the ECU to use on the Sohc motor.

it will run a car...but a code 23 will pop up...(knock sensor), since the sohc vtec did not use a knock sensor anywhere on the motor...two options, rechip to sohc vtec specs or get a knock sensor installed...
just to let you know the vtec is way to far in the power range to benefit the motor...
btw. in my sohc vtec i run with a P30 ecu (but of course its chipped not to read the knock sensor and has a vtec set much lower)
