will new headers fix this?
Hey everyone, I have a 93 del sol 1.6L and it has a magnum or magnumflow or something like that, I just can't remember the exact name, regardless. whenever my car is getting into the higher RPM's it makes a fluttering noise from the exhaust. I was wondering if I put some headers on there if that would eliminate that noise by allowing more airflow compared to the stock header? or would I need to do something else or am I just stuck with that noise? THanks for the help.-JOsh

Your cat may be starting to plug, I just had to replace mine recently because of this. Hit up a GOOD exhaust shop and have them use a BackPressure guage. They should be able to tell you.

if that's the case(the cat plugging up) can it be fixed or does it have to be replaced? did they charge to test it? Thanks

my stock civic has a ton of backpressure. i think it sounds pretty cool. my friend put a cutout downpipe on his srt-4 and mapped his ecu and it got rid of his. so we made 1 for an integra and it worked. its really loud though

I love my deep exhaust sound but I hate how whenever I decide to go take off and my RPM's are climbing that it starts to flutter. the back pressure thing makes since because I was assuming that the air wasn't flowing through as smoothly as it should. I just don't exactly know what's going on.
