Will a JDM Trans fit a USDM Car/Motor?
I have a 95 Civic EX and am in need of a new transmission. The car has an AT and I really have no desire to swap over to a 5spd since it's just a daily. I found a USDM D16Z6 AT but I'm unsure of the place that's selling it and others are asking close to 300.00 for one. JDMDepot normally sells D15B AT for around 150.00. Will this bolt right in? Do I need to change anything? Are these as strong as the D16Z6 ATs? Thanks for any help.

It's pretty rare to be able to use a JDM automatic, they either tend to have different solenoids, or they're geared differently and throw codes. I think you can in this case though. Btw Z6 transmissions are geared differently than D15B7 trannys. Sucks you weren't closer I've got one of those transmissions here I'd straight up give away to get it out from under my feet.

Thanks for the reply, after reading about them I found out about the gearing being different. I appreciate the offer too! Trust me, for some reason the D16Z6 AT's in NJ are pricey.
