will a jdm p73 be plug and play with a usdm p73???
just like the topic says. i want to make my car legal in cali , would i have to wire up any usdm specific emissions items????

nope it is setup different on the ecu i belive. some on else confirm this but the plugs on the jdm ecu are different i think, and if u want ur car legal in cali then youre going to have to go to honda and get a read out and have honda give you a think saying that the ecu is the correct ecu

What? I thought that it was plug and play. **** this is good to know before i go buy one for smog and it doesnt fit.

His is Type R, im kinda stealing his thread wondering the same question but mine is 93GSR in a 93 Coupe.

a jdm gsr ecu will work in your civic...
i just did that same swap on my gf's hatch...95 jdm gsr with the jdm ecu in her 93 cx hatch...
but for smog you will need to get a USDM ecu...
jdm ecu = small box...
usdm ecu = bigger box..
