Will Jdm Itr Headers work with 2.25" piping?
Will I lose power? I know I can bring it to a shop and have them weld on a 2.25 flange but is that too much back pressure? 2.5=>2.25

you think I should go 2.5 or stay at 2.25? I want to install my header!

Not necessarily true. These engines need back pressure and if your piping is too big you'll get a nasty, raspy sound from the exhaust.

where your powerband falls, and the necessary amount of back pressure come from the header design, not the exhaust. Everything after the header is only restriction.

The header doesn't make that big of a difference anyways, and I doubt it'll be worth the 100ish dollars to get a new piping in order to increase your horsepower, maybe, 1-2 hp. 2.25 is fine, imo. The best headers out there by theory is the one that connects, if i remember correctly, 1 and 4, 2 and 3. Something about the timing of the combustion whatever causing a vacuum in the header that should "sucK" the exhaust gasses out of the chamber instead of it being flowed out freely. Iunno, just stuff I read that I thought i should share.
