I live in New Jersey. I was wondering if anyone knows if I would pass state inspection if I were to have aftermarket taillights on my Sol. I was just rejected for the tiniest little crack in my left lens. Also if anyone knows where I can buy a stock lens cover for the left side that'd be great as well.

hehe.. silly ricers. Aftermarket lights are ILLEGAL... simple as that. remove the rear lights and put the stock ones back in. Yes, you need to buy a new front headlight, car-part.com for local junkyards.

I didn't put anything on yet. I still have everything stock. I had planned on maybe throwing some altezzas on, but I wanted to make sure I passed inspection before I did so.

You can ask the inspectors or you local authorities and they should be able to give you an answer to your question. I have never heard that ALL aftermarket lighting is illegal, it just has to put out a certain amount of light and must be visible from a certain distance.

Like I said though, either ask the police or the inspectors who do the test. Good luck!
