Definately need a wide band Oxygen sensor. Your factory one does not read enough for the guage. I have one in my civic and it is just a pretty little light show until I get a wide band o2 sensor. You will not be able to tune anything with factory o2 sensor.

Ok..not meaning to sound un-informed, though am clearly so, can we get this wideband o2 sensor from somewhere? Honda or someplace?

There's various wb o2 sensors all over the place. Every local performance parts store can usually get them, a lot of online sites have them, and the classifieds usually have a couple too.

thks for the help man, already looking at Streetrays.com for their PLX M-250 Unit + Wideband Gauge (black) Combo one, it should go with my other guages in the car.

If you get your vafc tuned with a wideband(like on a dyno), then you dont have to have one in the car all the time.

Man, we haven't got any dynos down here. I will need it to at least monitor my engine's lean/rich condition when I mess around with my VAFC II.

Not unless you want to read the condtion your engine is running. I don't mean this like you HAVE to have it or you won't know **** about how your engine is running, just more like open/closed loop and lean or stoch.
