yes it will, bcuz it will give it a higher compression like if u put that head on a 91 si motor u will get 11.3 c/r and the and if u put the d16z head on it will only give u i think it waz like 10.6 or 10.8 c/r but the head is slightly milled and it flows better that i 1 reason they r on the newer motors and that is y the d16y makes more power..

From what I remember, the Z6 flows better. Maybe that was only at power levels well above stock though. Anyways, it has to do with the combustion chamber designs.
