Will a D16ZC oil pan fit my D16z6?
I hit a shovel today on the way into work, and it sliced a nice gash into my oil pan. A local guy has a d16zc oil pan left over from his swap, and I need to know if it will work with my z6.

Ok, I got the pan, but when I compared it to my old pan, the one from the ZC has slightly different baffling. Where the oil pickup fits on the ZC the metal baffling goes almost all the way to the bottom of the pan, but on my z6 pan the baffling on goes about as far down as the red arrow in the picture i took.
Is this going to affect anything? Thanks.

Motor is stock, and the pan was not dented. I'll try and post a pic of the underside of the pan and my z6 pan.
Not getting enough oil is what i'm concerned with, especially because I plan to do some autox in the future, and like to go to the mountains as well. It seems that hard cornering may cause some oil starvation, but I'm not sure if that would be the case or not.

you have it in the right place.
It's essentially the same motor.
The sohc zc (provided the pan you have is from a sohc zc and not a dohc zc) is similar to the d16z6 and d15z4 engine.
The pans are compatible

Yeh, everything else about the pan is exactly the same. The pan came off of his sohc that he still has in the car. The only reason he had this one for sale is because he bought one that had already been tapped for a turbo.

Oh also, he showed me the receipt from the place the swap came from and it was listed on the invoice as "d16a" and that was it. Kinda confusing because I thought the zc motors were just that "ZC". From what I've read the block is stamped "ZC" and nothing else. So, I'm still not sure what to make of this whole thing, but as long as the extra baffling wont hurt, then I'm good to go.
