will a d16y8 run off of a vx computer??
i have a vx and the motor is bad, i have a y8 complet long block. will it run if i hook it up to the vx computer? or will the 5 wire o2 be a issue? i have the engine harness to the y8 also.. any kind of help would be cool.. thanks

the engine may run however that particular computer is set to run leaner than the ECU for the Y8. Another problem you may run into is the mapping for the vtec portion of the Y8 engine.
If you absolutely needed to run the car the ecu would probably get you moving but it isnt something i would use long term by any means
