Will a d16Y8 go in an accord?
Hey everyone, I have a 99 civic ex with an automatic transmission. I bought it a year or so ago and later found out it came from new York, I'm born and raised in Alabama and I'm completely lost on fighting this rust. I have worked on cars my whole life but this thing is a nightmare, I can't even change the fuel filter without breaking a rusted up bolt. Now the brake line is leaking in the middle of the car bc its rusted through so I give up. It has a good d16y8 engine so I want to find another body. What Hondas and year ranges will this engine and trans go in? I bought this car just to run back and forth to work in and it still gets about 33 mpg so I'm pretty eager to get it back up and running since my truck gets 12 mpg. Thanks in advance everyone.

To answer your title, not plug and play. Accords had different engines than the civics.
