Will D16 transmission work with a D17 motor?

Will D16 transmission work with a D17 motor?
Im selling a d16 trans to a guy with a D17 and i want to make sure everything will work, i've done some search and everyone else says it can be done, imma B-series guy so i don't know much about what else works on the D's

Honestly, I dont think it will... Whenever you do a search for a transmission (for a d series civic) they show up as for 92-2000 model year. Im not saying for sure it wont, but take a look at the pictures of a D17A trans here on ebay...

It also looks like there are more sensors on that transmission than what are on the 92-00 trannys so there will be extra wires from the newer civics harness that will be left unplugged that may cause it to not work properly.

yes it will, I had a d17 with a z6 tranz and a ported y8 yead runnin 11 pounds of boost. It didnt last to long d17's dont like boost cracked 2 sleeves.. oh well what do you expect with a home made turbo kit tuned on the street with an VAFC lol
