will D series engine fit on 85 civic?
i am planning take D engien from my del sol and get swap it with b18b. my neighbor has 85 civic and 86 accord so i was going to buy one of them for $500 or less and put my d16z engine to it for daily driving. I just find out that 85 and 86 cars used 3BBL engines. will d16 motor drop in and bolt on 85 civic or 86 accord? or do i need to buy motor mount and axle conversion..... thanks for reading my post.

be ready to do alot of custom work.
for one, neither one will work with the d-series as a bolt in affair, following issues will arise:
1)mounts are different
2) clutch engament (hydro),
3) shiftlinkage/axles
4) FI vs carb lines
5) ECU/harness and overall whole system.
from just those above differences you can see that its not going to be easy. IMHO you're better off looking elsewhere for a project.
