Depends on how you drive the car. With my S2000, I do the oil changes every 3k unless I track the car. If i track the car, I do the oil change after the track event regardless of miles. lol I drive it around town sometimes (I have a DD GSR) when im just hangin out or havin fun or going out with the GF or cruising with friends to a spot or something. It works out that i track the car every 1500-2000 street miles. So thats usually when I end up doing oil changes.
If you're just street driving it with some enthusiastic driving in there somewhere, just do it every 3K or so. Modern hondas (even my 99 GSR) recommend oil changes every 3750miles for SEVERE driving or 7500miles for REGULAR driving.

The way to figure our your oil change interval is to take a sample of your used oil and send it out for an analysis.
Using Mobil 1 synthetic I am able to go 6000+. It could go 10k or so but I prefer to change the oil when I change the filter.
Anything more often than 3k is just stupid unless it's severe conditions.
