will any other key fit kyokugens????
you guessed it another kyokugen key breaking!!. Anyway, I was looking at several different keys and the gorrilla seems to be almost identical. I wanted to see if someone else had any prior experience with using a different key.
I did a search and only got useless addage.

call kyokugen, and try to get another copy. i think thats the only way. unless you want to call AAA all the time just to get your wheels off.

well i'm not sure if they will send you another one. i just figured that all companies that make rim locks, should send you another key. they expect their buyers to depend on one key? thats crazy. check the box that they came in, maybe there's a number on there.

its all in japanese!
I've looked for a webpage, like I said. No luck.
I'll probably just see if someone can go ahead and machine one for me

if you didnt torque the key/lugs so much then the key/lugs wouldnt strip and or break.. funny thing, i've taken my wheels on and off for over a year with my kyokugen lugs, and i've never had a problem.
call kyokugen and see if they will send you a new key.. if not then find a way to get them off and dont ever use them again.

I didnt break the lugs.... the key is made of thin aluminum,Bullshit, it should be cast. what socket or wrench isnt at least cast, most are case hardened.
The design is ****, eventually even the most careful user is going to wear it out.

Everyone keeps saying to call Kyokugen, but how when there is no # or webpage?

or you can barrow the key from somebody, im sure there are still peeps here that uses kyokugen. If you were local i'll let you use my key. BTW, ive had mine for over a year and ive taken my rims numerous times and i always use a torque wrench, never had a problem.

You don't get that socket cause look at the price different.
If you were local i'd let you borrow it.

Re: will any other key fit kyokugens???? (eg6ajk)
mine rounded off in the end
i ordered another key from a website
http://store.yahoo.com/urbanim....html
it was 20 with shipping
or i also found out that 1 of my nuts was also rounded so i had to hammer a 15mm 12pt socket on it and get if off that way
luckily i had an extra lug nut

yeah should work, but then I have a junked lug and socket. basically, I just want to be able to torque the lugs. I dont really want to take them off right now.

Wow, $20 shipped thats pretty spendy. Im still looking into getting one machined. the broken one was welded today, so I will see if they fixes the problem.

Re: will any other key fit kyokugens???? (TODAeg6)
yeah it was kinda of expensive but it's better than buying the whole thing with new lugs
the best part was that my old one wasn't that bad it was just that 1 rounded off nut
so now i have 2 good lug tools

my bro jammed a 17mm 6pt socket on one of my kyogens before. he didnt kno they were special lugs when he was taking them off =P. good thing i have 4 lug, and i have 4 extra lug nuts =P. btw, the kyogen "key" isnt really a key, its just a 7-sided 17mm socket
