Will it? i know the em1 has a bigger engine, but are the radiators different?

it should.

if youre replacing the radiator, try to get your hands on a 99-00 ex automatic radiator, its a little thicker...dont remember where i read about it, but thats what i did when i did my swap, and yeah, it is a tiny bit thicker.

just remember to seal the two male plugs on the bottom with silicone.

it will be fine as long as your thermostat is for the motor in the car and working correctly. i used my stock d16z6 radiator with my JDM B16 swap and no problems.

you don't need to seal the holes if you get one for an auto, the only thing you wil need is ladder clamps, the inlets on the ex radiator are smaller than on the si

Oh, I was going to swap this out because i was told that my radiator may be clogged and thats causing my overheating, but i was just going to take it out of my gf's ex if it was a simple direct bolt in, but I dont want to modify anything. Thanks for the help.

well if you consider plugging up two small fittings with silicone hard....

but yeah, it was pretty much a direct bolt on/in.

also, if youre overheating, have you checked the thermostat? one sign that your thermo isnt working properly is warm up the car a bit (normal operating temp) and turn on the heater. if it doesnt blow hot/warm then its prolly your thermo.

Its not hard to silicone the fittings, but i want to be able to put it back in her car. I just wanted to put it in and drive around and see if my temp stayed normal. Then i could go buy me a new rad. I know its not the thermostat. It just got changed a few weeks ago. Plus my heater is working good.

If it is a 99-00 (USDM) B16A2 Si model, the hoses and openings on the radiator are larger than the lower trim models. Lower trim models have little garden hose size hoses. It may bolt into place, but you'll have problems hooking it to the motor.

I'm only 90% sure of this..... so there is a chance I'm incorrect about the 99-00 EX models.

thats correct. When i ordered my rad from honda i brought it home, the fittings were tiny. I took it back and said wtf....They had ordered a 00 ex rad. and my car is a 00 si. The inlet outlet sizes are dif.

yeah, i have the same problem right now too???, the rad. off my 98 dx inlet and outlet are not the same sizes as the hose for my 99 si. so can i just get some clamps that close tigher around the hoses??? need to know and help would be great

yeah...

since the hose fittings on the ex radiator were smaller than the fittings on the b16 block, i took the ex hoses and warmed them up with a hairdryer to make them a little more flexible and then slapped those [freak]ers on....and it definately works!
