The 92-95 Civic rear strut, on the fork part, is wider than the 96-00 Civic strut. Which means the 92-95 Civic rear LCA, is thicker than the 96-00 Civic LCA. If you shave down the bushing, I think it will fit.

you mean the EG ones are thinner and i would need to add spacers, rather then shaving anything?

No, other way around. The LCA bushing on the 92-95 civics is thicker than that of the 96-00 civics. So you could add spacers to the shock on a 96-00 using 92-95 struts but not the other way around. I know this because I've done this.

yup i just put my CRX d2 coilovers on my 97 hatch.
all you need to do is go to a hardware store. Take your LCA bolt with you(i had extras) and go to the washer section and find one that fits your bolt snugglin so it doesnt move around to much.
i ended up with 12 washers 3 washers on each side of the LCA so 6 on each side.
works great

no sir EK are 1 inch longer. or something like that
oh ya with the spacers the space is 10 mm...so 5 mm on each side...the washers i use equaled to 10 mm with 6 washers...so meassure them out since each washer is diff size.
