Yes it will fit as long as the exhaust is for a coupe. It will eliminate the cat. The difference in length between the dx and ex/Si is the length of the cat.
I saw this posted in tech and I responded with some more detail.

NO NO NO NO! This exhast will not fit your car becuase it is longer. if you removed your Cat it might come close, but otherwise you would need an EX exhuast. i have tried this before...

Let me make something a lil more clear.. The guy i'm buying the cat back from has a dx motor BUT he is using a aftermarket header which means he's also using the stock civic ex cat and NOT the one that is stock on the dx motor.. so if this is true then that must mean he had to get the catback made for the ex NOT dx cuz then the dx catback wouldnt work.. so if all that i say is true.. then it SHOULD fit right??

Just bought a 97 DX coupe with the same scenario. It has a header for the EX, EX cat, and a 00 SI b pipe and rear muffler. All o2 sensors are in place and no CEL's

It wont fit... 5zigen makes a seperate pipe different from the DX and Hatchs. It wil not fit an SI properly. Im sure that you could make it fit with modification. But stock out of the box it wont fit.

The system on this car he is buying it off of is probably an EX/Si system. The car has a header and cat on it. Any header and cat installed on a DX would require you to install an EX/Si system.
