Will 1.4 bacbox be ok on 1.6?

Ive a vti ek4 and need a backbox, a fella local to me has a 1400cc exhaust, will there be a problem using that backbox on the 1600cc dohc? I cant see a problem myself but just want to make sure.

I think he means the muffler . and it will hurt performance and might not bolt up to your cat.

sorry guys, yes muffler, we call it a backbox here in Ireland. I thought it might hinder my performance.
