VX's and HX's had 5 wire O2 sensors. I believe many people use those, I'd imagine their relatively cheap from a salvage yard.

I suggest the Techedge widebands. That's what I use and I like it.

Wideband O2 sensors need a controller box to operate. On stock VX's and HX's, this circuitry is inside the ECU. Simply installing one of these WB O2's in place of your existing 4-wire O2 will NOT work....which is why the TechEdge 'kit' has been suggested to you. The PLX Devices WB seems to be a popular option as well, which is also a 'kit'.

is $550 considered rediculous?

PLX wideband at Hondata. Close loop and Wideband at the same time.

I got EVERYTHING I needed for my WB02 secondhand on here for just about 300 bucks.

I like mine.

It even has a narrowband output if you want to use the wideband sensor to supply your car with it's 02 sensor readings.

There are two group buys going on currently in sponserthread's. AEM UEGO(imo the best) with gauge 380 shipd and then the plx wideband which is recommended by hondata 320 shipd. Either of which are perfect. Hope this helps.
