wide body kit with lambo doors?
Now I know this is off topic somewhat. I've got the s2k project and thinking about buying a MR2 and putting the 2000GT TRD Wide Body kit on it. It's off topic because this is about an MR2 and not a civic/del sol. I can't post in the cosmetic/appearance forum because I'm a trial user. This forum has the most posts so I figure, what the hell. Anyway, if I put the TRD Wide body on an MR2, will I be able to have lambo doors or will the extra 2 inches on each side prevent the doors frompushing forward? If anyone knows. Please post and I appologize for it being in the wrong place. If I could post in the other forum. I would. Dearest regards so please, no flaming.

Lol some ppl can be so helpful valid points tho. Yes its more than likly that the doors will scrape on the kit or even shove the door into the wing ive seen it happen a couple of times ='(

the answer to your question depends on how the body kit sits on the car. Traditional lambo kits proab. won't work because you need the clearance. It might work if you can find a door that pops and swivels first before going up...if that makes any sense. I have a custom widebody (extreme widebody...4" to each side). I had the guys from vertical doors come over at the SEMA show last year and they said that it could be done but would have to put the doors on some type of slider system (think mini van) that pops it out before it would go up. This would be way too much work and modification in my book, plus you would always see the sliders.
Hope this didn't confuse you any...lol and maybe it even helped a little

Re: (Soccerking3000)
1. You're 16. You don't have any "projects" going on unless you mean a junked S2k that you bought for 1000 dollars that needs another 15k to make it run.
2. You definately don't have money to pick up a decent MR2 as well.
3. Why would you post this here? Just because you can't post in the other forum doesn't mean I want you cluttering my forum up with this trash.
