Why is it when i order a part from napa its wrong?

I'v tried ordering 3 diff types of throttle body gaskets for my 94 civic ex d16z6, 93 civic dx d15b7 and 95 civic dx d15b7 and i always get a gasket thats too dam small to fit, i'm either running d16z6 intake manifold or d15b7 and i'm running d15b7 throttle body because i had to piece my civic together and was missing a couple parts. am i some how doing something wrong or is it napa?

It's napa...lol

What does the back of your IM stamp say? Let's try and narrow down parts you are using, so we can help recommend correct gaskets needed.

i find that a number of those cheap fits all generic brands for throttle body gaskets are no good. OEM would save you time, you know it works for sure, it is not an expensive part

As a former parts guy, if YOU don't know what it is, I sure as h**l ain't gonna know. =)

tlarimer is correct, get us a picture or some stampings, you need to tell them what application to look up for it to be correct. Even good parts guys don't know every vehicle by heart, they must rely on the catalogs to look up parts by oe application.

Just use some RTV and call it good. Or use a razor blade to make the gasket fit. That's what I had to do to make my aftermarket throttle body and intake...along with a little RTV.

If you want less headaches stop being a cheap ass and buy it from majestic

Actually, the gaskets from Honda are cheaper than from the auto parts stores. Ironic, huh? I think it was like $2.50 for my GSR throttle body gasket.
