Default Why is my tranny doing this??????????

When i put my car into reverse it hesitates to go into gear and feels like something is stopping it from going in, but it always goes in. Then when i let off the brake without giving any gas the car moves backwards by itself. Same thing in first gear.It doesnt go fast its really slow. Also...sometimes when i go to shift into 2nd gear it stops halfway and doesnt want to go , like something is stopping it, then just slips in. Ill be driving down the road and gears shift smoothly. Its only when i come to a stop light or backing out of my driveway. Today when i was driving home from work it just didnt want to go into first gear at all. I had to shove the bitch in.Can someone help me out?

possibly a bad pressure plate, sounds like your clutch isn't fully disengaging

Im having this same problem, this was just after changing my slave and clutch cyclinder. I bleed them both numerous times. The only gear I could get it into was reverse.

So I drove it to my buddys house. We JUST put a new clutch, throwout bearing, and pressure plate like 3 months ago.

Still think its the pressure plate.

The tranny will be dropped today and Ill be back with my findings

well when the car is moving backwards i have to step on the brake to stop it, but when i let off the brake it still moves. No hills just flat surface.
