why is my passenger side wheel more towards rear of the fender???
ok today i just checked my car because when i do a full left turn my passenger side wheel would rub the inside of my car. i did some measuring and found out that there is only about 2 finger gap from my tire to the rear part of my fender and on the driver side there is a lil more than 3 finger gaps from the tire to the rear part of the fender. anyone ever got this issue and got it fixed??? my car just got an alignment done but it still swerves a lil to the right. other then that it drives perfectly fine.

yezzir...i had a 96 coupe that stuck out a little on the pass side and was closer to the door than it was to the bumper. come to find out after putting up on a lift that the whooolle frame on the right side was crinkled up and jacked up pretty bad. they tried to fix it before i bought it apparently but failed. lol it wore thru kuhmo ecsta tires in about 1000 miles or less on that side.

Re: why is my passenger side wheel more towards rear of the fender???
check the whole knuckle. I had a similar issue where my pass wheel stuck out further from the fender than my driver. It DROVE ME FVCKING CRAZY because no one could figure it out. I had it to 2 different shops. The alignment and toe were dead on but the wheel wasnt the same distance from the inside fender than my driver side. Well I thought just for **** and giggles to replace the whole pass knuckle. well that ended up being the problem. It was bent but you couldnt notice it with your eye. Try that and see what happens. Its a paint to replace but that MAY solve your problem. Keep me updated

Just cuz your car has a clean title, doesnt mean its never been in an accident. It was hit before in that spot and somebody didnt do a good job of fixing it. Check the control arm, maybe its that

ur wheel is like that from a previous accident...
its either the position of that shock/strut or the lower control arm thats push back
if its the lca u can fix it if its the shock/strut its a goner...sry

Just to add a little info, the front subframe is what the LCA mounts to, and can be shifted in place during an accident, moving the wheels a little and/or throwing the alignment (mostly caster) off.

my girfriends old civic was in an accident where it was shoved up on to a curb and under a truck at the same time, the accident bent the front subframe (the thing that gets replaced with a traction bar) back causing the wheels to be shoved back. also bowed the radius arms.
