Default Why Doesn't AC Blow Cold?

I know nothing about AC systems and figured someone on HT might be able to give me some advice. I have a 2000 Civic EX, I bought the car 2 years ago and never really used the AC. From day one it never really blew cold like all of the other cars that I have been in. I've been on road trips where I have turned the AC on for hours and it just blows cool, but nothing close to cold. I thought maybe the freion was low so I went and bought one of those re-fill kits from the store with a built in gauge. It says to measure the low side and that's what I did. I got 55PSI at 85 degrees ambient. According to the gauge the freon seems to be full. What else can I check?

That pressure reading is with the AC on full. I'm positive the clutch is working properly, but I'll double check.

look to see if the a/c radiator in the front is clogged, or it could be in the dash

I just checked and the clutch does spin and everything seems to be working properly. I looked at the AC radiator and it seems to be ok for being almost 10 years old. Some of the fins could be cleaned off a bit and reshaped, but other then that nothing I can see that can be clogged.

The heater control valve cable could be out of adjustment. This is visible at the back of the engine compartment near the firewall. It's easy to spot if you have somebody in the car turning the temp ****. if it is out of adjustment it mixes warm air in with the A/C air

your a/c may need to be recharged with refrigerant, theres a thread around here that shows you how to do it but i'm too lazy to find it
