WHY DOES MY CAR RUN LIKE SH*T PLEASE HELP
Still having problems with my 98ej7, owner before me did a mini me fY5 bottom end and y8 head, is there anything they could have done wrong?? when at any RPM or any Speed when at a constant speed it feels like someone pinches off the exhaust and it falls on it face. Does this for a second or so and then goes back to normal, Could this happen because i do not have a oil pressure sender plugged in?(in the process of installing a gauge) I have changed, plugs, wires, cap and rotor, fuel filter, both o2's, WHAT CAN THIS BE???

VTEC oil pressure switch or just the dummy light switch? Dummy light switch wont do beans, but pressure switch will. What ecu are you using?

I would start by checking the tps voltage. Hook a volt meter with the car on but not running. Then slowly rock the throttle until it is full open. If the volts do not go up smoothly, you have a dead spot in the potentiometer in the tps. Grab another and be on your merry way.
If that doesn't do it, check your timing, read your spark plugs, and do a compression test. Those can tell you a wealth of information.
I've had the same symptoms be anything from a head gasket to tps, to a bad map sensor, to timing being off.
