I would think its more for future mods like a motor or something. If It's f'ed up already, why not take care of something like the radiator early and avoid spending the money twice. That's why I would do it

i dont think its lighter, there is more fluid in the aluminum radiator then the oem one

i really doubt that having a little bit more liquid in your radiator is going to slow u down a noticeable ammount if any... besides the aluminum radiators do weigh less than the stock ones which makes up for the added fluid

Trust me, you won't notice the difference. If your worried about it remove the spare and your equal again. Seriously the aluminum weighs less then the steel so it's not that much heavier.

are you seriously asking this? think about how much extra coolant is in there, maybe a quart so lets say 2 pounds, if the general rule of thumb that every 100 pounds you take off your car gets you 1/10 of a second, then those 2 extra lb's are going to add 1/500 of a second in a 1/4 mile run, i cant believe you are worried about maybe 2 pounds...

Also remember that above pictured radiator leaves no room for A/C. Which is around 30 Lbs. ( i think....) So that would help you lose the weight and gain better cooling as replied by B18C5-EH2.

Definately cant go wrong with the integra radiator.. you can also get the oem dual core radiatior (from the b16 del sol) from radiator barn for around the same price and its twice as thick as the oringinal and its the same half style radiator.

Its a ligher, better part than stock. BUT, on a stock motor, its not worth the money because your motor (unless youve tuned it to death or FI) will not overheat.

I got a D16Y7, summer can get over 100, I'll redline it all day and that **** will NOT overheat. Its not worth the money on a stock engine, but if you swap, or are going FI, check into other Honda radiators, unless say your pushin over 14lbs of boost and goin lean.

Its mostly for looks, but the benefits dont justify the cost.

all of our hondas, from my mostly stock GSR to a turbo 300 hp teg, have stock radiators.....no need for anything else.
