WHY do some people put a gsr head on a b16a and what is the effect on the horsepower and why do they put a b16a head on a gsr block what kind of horse power do you get, which would be best??????????

Re: WHY????????????????????? (dr@ke)
B16 head flows better and supports higher revs. B18C head on a B16 block probably bumps compression. The first of the two is the better combination.

I believe they call a b16 head on a gsr block a poor mans type-r. Yes b18c head on b16 block does bump the compression a little. Its like 10.6:1 or something.

77.40mm stoke 1.6 vs. 87.2mm 1.8....
I'm going with 1.8
