whos running stainless brake lines?
brand?
cost?
thoughts?
I just repaired a set of brakes lines on a civic and it got me thinking, being my car is 10+ years old I should change them (before I have to change them)
I was looking for some thoughts? brands people are currently using?
Ive read the pedal feel is greatly improved, anything else noticeable?
thanks in advance

Re: whos running stainless brake lines?
If you're getting stainless, the most important thing is to make sure it's coated stainless. Uncoated stainless lines can catch debris, dust, dirt, and grime under the metal, risking damage to the rubber under it. Unlike OEM lines, you can't see the damage to the lines until it's too late.
Personally, I run (and love) StopTech lines. Teflon inner lining, stainless steel braid, with a clear protective coating. They went on with a full brake swap (rear drum to disc, new master, new booster) so I can't speak towards pedal feel. Honestly though, if you read up on the mechanics behind stainless steel lines, they do about as much for your pedal feel as a CAI does for D series power - nothing but bling factor.
If your stock lines need to be replaced, there's no reason not to get good stainless lines. Emphasis on good.

Re: whos running stainless brake lines?
I've been running goodridge stainless lines for 2 years now with no issues. Though I will echo jbpnoman above me and recommend you get the Stoptech lines or some similarly coated stainless braided line.
Of all of the stainless uncoated lines, the goodridge were the best as far as I could tell at the time based on internet reviews/forum posts regarding stainless lines. If I had it to do over again I'd get pricier/better lines.

Re: whos running stainless brake lines?
There's nothing wrong with StopTech.
Something else I forgot to mention, make absolutely sure the brake lines are DOT approved. Inspection stations can fail you for non-DOT approved brake lines, and if they have half a brain in their skull, they will. If you ever want to put your car on a track, pre-track inspection might (should) fail you for non-DOT lines as well.

All good suggestions, you cant go wrong with those.
I run goodridge on my cars. But the stoptechs are good too.
The coated ones only of course, I learned the lesson of a blown line on track.
Made the pucker factor go up 200%
