i'm lookin into a set of cam gears, but obviously i don't want ones that will break, i've heard of it happening a few times and that kinda scares me. specifically i'm looking at the JG ones, if anyone has experience with those i'd greately appriciate some input, they look good, except that they have a lot of "holes".

I have a jg edelbrock cam gear on my y8. I bought it used and it's still going strong for me.
as long as you follow all manufacturers instructions and torque properly, you should have any problems.

Also seen a couple of AEMs break on high HP cars.
What kind of power are you looking to make? I think the breaking issues are probably with uber-high HP motors.
I didn't know that Skunk2 cam gears were breaking. I heard that the cams had a tendency to snap, but not the gears.

i'll probably never go over 200-215 whp. and i'm probably a far cry from there right now. the jg's look pretty srong, i can see the weak points in the aem and the skunk2. i guess people i've heard of breaking them might have been high hp cars. so i guess i'll go with the jg's. anyone know how you adjust them? i've looked up topics on that before, but i just don't understand. once you loosen the bolts, do you spin the cam a little, if so, don't the valve springs resist. but if you spin the outter gears. you'd have to spin the belt, and that aint happenin. i actually posted a whole topic on that before too, but i never got a clear answer.
