Default who many guys here have done any thing to there ignition timing?

I just set my ignition to 18 degrees after this idiot set it to max advanced the other day. it pulls alot harder, better low end torque, plus the top end feels pretty good. only problem was that when it was set at 19 degrees, my car was burning extremely rich, and the top end suffered. used my VTEC controller to lean out the top end and moved the VTEC activation point to 5700rpms.) My ITR cams have been acting strange since day one. Changing the fuel ratios and all. Any of you guys had any similar experiences?

When I bumped the timing on my 98 EX before the turbo, it felt like a new car altogether. Excellent low end pickup and the top end was strong too, but low end is seemingly where it made the biggest difference.

I noticed the same low end response. highway travel is also phenomenal However it feels like I am being choked at high rpms. Any suggestions?
