Who has used Metalcast by Duplicolor??
lookin for someone that has actually used this paint.. and was curious as to how it turned out.. and how close it was to the actual anodized look??
wanted to spray it on aluminum lip for wheels.. so hopefully it looks like anodized lips...
thru search.. only one came up on archived but the guy had done a base coat of silver prior to using the metalcast.. which is not goni to result in same finish..
whoever has done and used this product.. please let me know ur results.. and pics if possible.. especialy closeup..

was it durable? would the finish look appropriate if I were use it on a wheel lip.
Thinking about refinishing my old Rota N1r's

You should get something that has the same (similar) molecular structure to that of a polished lip and test it first. I used it on my wiper arms. I sanded down the black **** on them, then sanded the aluminum so it gave it that brushed aluminum look, and just sprayed it on. I think it looks decent, my girl thinks it looks hot.
It's alittle ricerish right now because my civic is white so the wiper arms kinda stand out, but not when my paintjob is complete

i used it on my plastic laptop, it came out pretty good, but i dont think i used enough base coat. the base coat is what gives it the matallic look. its as durable as regualr spray paint, which is what i have on my other wheels, and has held up pretty well.

Re: (stealth89hatch)
sweet thanks
I think I'm going to give this stuff a try.
I wanna redo my wheels in a similar fashion. They are the same wheels but mine are silver with a polished lip.

yea the **** looks good just make sure the surface u spray it on is clean of all rust/dirt/corosion/anything and spray it...comes out allot better on clean real aluminum or metals...the base coat doesnt look eaxactly like real alum so it doesnt look perfectly anodized..but non the less the stuff does look good
