who has mount inserts? read me...
i have a 94 del sol S with a JDM d15b in there... race inserts in ALL (5) of my mounts causing my **** to vibrated more than a lawnmower.
my question is... when in lower gears than speed (like 2nd at 15 MPH) my shifter area/shift linkage vibrates. this is normal i know that... but i'm also getting a metalic noise. anybody with stiff mounts experience this? by the way, this only happens when i'm at a lower gear and an even lower speed. thanks

If you have an aftermarket shifter it could be making the noise, i have a short throw and it does have a tendency to make some noise since it doesnt fit perfectly like an oem shifter.

yeah... evasive dual bend. <3 but when i put it on, i had to toss the OEM plastic sleeves where the bearing goes through to the linkage. i think since i do not have the sleeves in there, there's some metal contact and it clings when i'm vibrating hardcore. i hope it just doesn't vibrate through it. lol... i been shifting at about 2.5k recently because of my loud *** exhaust (going to change it this weekend)

Could be just the shifter rattling in the linkage like mentioned. If your going to be under the car check it out, get creative in filling the slight gap with a spacer or washer maybe.(IF...IF theres a gap)
It could also be the shifter rattling on the top of the midpipe. Again, something to look at while your under the car. doubtful, unless you didn't tighten something down, or your midpipe is huge\hung weird.
I'm sure your aware that the mounts are causing some vibration overall. I would think you would notice the vibration say at a stop light, or just idleing. This causing things that are slightly loose to vibrate. I.E shift lever
My guess is the shifter though
Good Luck.
