Who Drives An EK Hatch With A b16a(si)?????
I tried searching, but I couldn't find anything. I'm thinking of doing a b16a or b18b swap to my EK Hatch. My questions are: How does it handle? And is it worth thw swap?

I dunno why, but for me, if I were to do a hatch, I would go N/A. And with a coupe, I would go FI. I dunno why but it just seems better like that. I guess i'm just weird. Does anyone share this "weirdness" with me?

Nope, I've got a turbo hatch.

no it wouldn't.
it would probably be slower.

i b16 has nice power. it is reliable and fun. i used to be a b16 owner myself. on the otherhand the b18b and b16 tranny combo is nice. if i were you...i would just go with a b16. vtec is fun. more fun then a couple more lbs. of torque.

the way i figure it... the b18b has nice power throughout the RPM range, and not much top end. the b16 tranny will keep the engine up high... which is good for a b16 and bad for a b18b?
whatever. i need to go to sleep. i shouldn't a gone dun drink that pepsi cola.

Just last weekend I saw two identical hatches run, one had an LS swap, the other a B16. The LS swapped hatch had about a car and a half by 2nd gear. The B16 caught him around 90. About the same mods except the B16 hatch claims to have a mugen ECU.

Re: Who Drives An EK Hatch With A b16a(si)????? (sd_pinoy858)
I might probably go for a b18c1(gsr) instead of a b16a2, if I can afford it or if anyone can give me a good deal on a legit complete b18c1 motor. I've ridin in a ek hatch with a gsr swap, and it PULLS HELLA HARD. Whats a reasonable price for a b18c1 complete motor you guys have come upon or heard of?

Re: Who Drives An EK Hatch With A b16a(si)????? (sd_pinoy858)
I roll a 2000 White Ek9 (Hb) witha 00 B16a2 and I think I went the right route. Because the GSR and Type R swaps are more expensive, I went with a swap that was more affordable at the time and thus could be done sooner instead of saving and saving while still ******* it with the d16. And now, if I ever need more power I can upgrade the valvetrain and cams etc... Either way, any of the above motor swaps will give you considerable more power than the d16.

well my friend scored a complete gsr swap in good condition for $1900 . the deals are out there, you just have to look and be in the right place at the right time. but that's one hell of a deal - i'd say closer to $3000 is more common.
