Whitetish smoke when at idle
Well I got a 95 turbo 4 door and I just replaced the head gasket because i was geting white smoke after I slowed down and came to an idle position, it doesnt do it when im in the gas though. I replaced the head gasket because i thought that was the problem, also my rpm's seem to dip below 700 after i slow down... Anyone have and idea's or suggestions on what it could be or what I could do to fix this?

i have the same problem, good to know i don't have to replace the headgasket. intake manifold gasket could be it! anyway that white smoke is burning coolant. but my intake manifold gasket is brand new

Re: Whitetish smoke when at idle (ilu)
i just fixed my problem. intake manifold gaskets weren't torqued to spec. my haynes manual said 17 ft/lbs. hopefully this solves your problem too!

yeah be sure to do it in order too. i just replaced an IM and gasket for a guy that when straight across and only tightened them with a ratchet and never retightened either
