Whistling coming from under the hood?
I did a search already and a lot of people said it was normal. my question is i'm i just installed a skunk2 intake manifold and i'm running the hondata gasket and the mani barely made it on that last stud by the 4th runner on the top second to last before the water line hole. I also have a small hole in my muffler... the whistling sounds like its coming from under that hood... if it were the gasket wouldn't that cause my idle to fluctuate or more problems than just the whistle? The muffler wouldn't whislte it would just get louder right? let me know guys... thanks.

It could be anything. Throttle plate, intake gasket, exhaust hole, turbo, crooked hood or fender.
It doesn't sound like anything to worry about for now, unless it's your radiator boiling. check your fluid levels.

My car started making the noise after i put on my skunk 2 manifold, don't worry there's nothing wrong.

what motor are you running?
for you guys saying that a whistling noise is normal, that's not right. I am running a Skunk2 IM and I do not have a whistling noise what so ever. But it could be diff. between the D-Series and B-Series, idk.
Does it make a whistling noise at idle? driving? when you cut off your car? when does it happen?

the whistle is at about 50% to 75% throttle. and it could be because the mani is brand new inside the chamber and once its used for a while the flow is not as smooth and the whistle goes away.

I have the same whistle at 50% to 75% throttle, and I have a completely stock JDM B16. It's normal.
