Whining b16a diagnoses
Curious, my b16 in eg makes a whine when revving it. I was thinking the tensioner or timing too tight? It's an oem older tensioner with low km. and new gates timing belt / water pump. It's been like this for a season

We can't hear it. So it's hard to tell.
I have noticed that B16s do make a mechanical whirring noise. If thats what you're hearing...its normal.
You should have changed that tensioner, BTW.

Yeahhhh the gates kit should use one. Easy swap I will make a video and prob. New post at some point of the noise! Keep posted. It's def that common b16 sound I also have heard it.
Also read about Jdm motors using two washers on the crank pulley not one. That has me wondering pretty sure my Jdm block is using 1
It's def in the cam / lower cam and timing area I have no cover there right now. It's loud! But I race the car hard it's turboed so nothing really harming things ..yet
