whine sound when car is turned on

whine sound when car is turned on
I hear this whinning sound when ever i turn my car on. when i push on
the clutch the sound goes away. does anyone know what the problem
may be? I have an idea but i want to know if anyone else would know
what it would be.

Classic throw-out bearing noise... replace the $15 throw-out bearing with $500 in labor haha.
Before you take it in though, just do some poking around (have your buddy/roomy in the car with you acting as ears). A steady whine that goes away with engine RPM increases is usually a belt.
A whine that goes way with the application of the clutch though, that sounds like a throw-out bearing. Listen if the sound occurs where the engine and transmission meet together. If yes, that bearing is toast. Happy motoring.

Like SJcivic said, if its coming from the engine bay and the sound goes away when the clutch is depressed then its teh throw-out/release bearing. You might want to elaborate more in order for us to help u
