Where's this hose go?
I changed a friend's timing belt and in order to do that had to take the head off of course. When I started the car it would rev up and I figured it was because of a vacuum leak. Found a hose that goes from the top right of the intake manifold, under the fuel rail, and through a hole in the middle of the intake manifold near the head. I don't know where this hose goes through or how to reach it so can't put it back on.
Anyone know where it goes?
It's a d16y8.

Re: (Jorsher)
I wouldn't recommend plugging hte PCV line up...that's used for (PLEASE correct me if I'm wrong because I'm not 100 percent) venting the crankcase/oil. A lot of times for example with the PCV gets plugged up or broken the driver has problems with the car running properly. That's just generally my .02. I was always under the impression it's one of the more important things that you can't just have *** anything on. Good luck!

just plug it back in or else ur gonna have other problems including oil squirting all over the place
u can reach it from under the car
might as well change ur oil at the same time since ur gonna be there anyway

Re: (kuja396)
no you dont, after i changed my own cars headgasket/timingbelt/etc i helped a friend change his. In order to change the headgasket you do need to remove the head.

If i read it correctly you said the timing belt. But yes you need the pcv valve, it helps recirculate gases to my knoledge. all i know is you need it
The Positive Crankcase Ventilation valve, or PCV valve, is a one-way valve that ensures continual refreshment of the air inside a gasoline internal combustion engine's crankcase.
