Where should I look???
Please honda-tech come to my rescue. i have purchased a "oem" fog light kit online an it is FARRRRRRRRRRR from oem. it looks horrible and it doesnt even look like it fits. even with some fabrication it doesnt look good. I'm looking for a good yellow fog light kit for my 99 em1. if you can point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.

Where did you buy them from? OEM is the way to go. perfect fitment.

I didnt know they made OEM 99-00 fog lights in yellow.
I have OEM fog lights on my car but I tinted them yellow with a vinyl. Came out great, and it doesnt crack!! I sell it. $10 shipped to your door with instructions. PM me.

Yeah eBay has the yellow ones but they arent OEM. I have a set on my girlfriends car and fitment is 9/10. The yellow isnt a solid yellow though, so I added a layer of vinyl to it.

Negative rep the seller, trust me they hate it.
Thats funny, my girlfriends fake fog lights fit great and work flawlessly.
You guys probably suck at installation and wiring.

Password:JDM sells both aftermarket (DEPO) and OEM fog lights.
The JDM lights come in yellow. USDM fog lights are clear.
The JDM lights are quite a bit more expensive.
Just apply Lamin-x or some other yellow film to the lights. This also give you the choice to easily change the color back later or change bulb colors.

Re: Where should I look???
I've had DEPO, Esuse and OEM.
OEM is by far the best. DEPO is the bottom of the barrel.
DEPO is known for grounding issues and leaks. Fitment is fine on all of them (though OEM fit very tight compared to the others it seems).
'96-'98 DEPO appear to have more problems than the '99-'00, but I still wouldn't by them.

Re: Where should I look???
i totaly agree with both of you! 100% but not everyone can afford oem and when they cant depo works just fine,
again i agree there wiring sucks, and they leaked, at least my old ones did,
but for the price you pay and the little work they need to be great. its worth it, still a hell of a lot better then ebay.

Seriously. That's where most DEPO sets come from. That's even where mine came from.
Not to say that parts purchased on eBay are all bad. I've found some great parts there. Even have an OEM part in the mail for me right now, purchased on eBay.
By the way, '99-'00 OEM USDM foglights are about $130 brand new from Honda. DEPOs just are not worth the money when compared to how inexpensive '99-'00 OEM USDM lights are.
Remember, PW:JDM sells the replica lights (which they call JDM) for $90 plus shipping. So a whooping $40 difference.
It's not like we're talking about the yellow JDM ones (which you can solve by just buying film) or the JDM square '96-'98 ones (which I have - they set me back about $200 for the clear ones, they go for about $400 as per heeltoe).
People are talking out of their asses when they keep saying all these parts are expensive. There is not only one place to buy them and they're not so incredibly rare that if you find a set you have to pay what they're asking. Quit being so impatient and wait for a better deal. You don't NEED fog lights. You WANT fog lights.
