Default Where should the correct oil level be on an EG dipstick??

Just wondering what the correct reading is supposed to be.

At max or in between max and min in the middle?

A quart low (the lower dot) will not really hurt anything. Just keep it above that. As for my car, I know its too low when it stops smoking.

Hrm.. Mine is in between, I always heard thats where its supposed to be. Plus the JDM video manual for EGs has the lady show the dipstick to be halfway.

If you check the oil in the morning after the car has not been run overnight, the oil level should be right at the Max mark.

o rly? maybe revise that to say "a quart low might not hurt anything immediately, but is in no way good for having a healthy long lasting engine."

when i fill mine up i normally just dump 4 quats in it, and it normally puts it a tiny bit over the line,

runing your car low on oil is never a good idea, but neither is runing it over,
