Re: Where is my coolant going? (ChinitodeNJ)
if the coolant disappears it could be a leaky headgasket. i had this problem on one of my cars last year and i couldnt fiqure-out where the coolant was going.

THATS THE SAME THING WITH MY CAR!!! i have know idea what it is but today im gonna go buy the leak detector and see if theres a leak... this happen after my car over heated due to a sticking thermostat so it might be the head gasket hopefully it isnt , dont feel like taking it apart..

Check for puddles under your car or wet spots underneath your hose connections.
Have someone drive behind you while you step on it. Look for white smoke to indicate a blown head gasket.

It sounds like your head or valve cover gasket.
They're both relatively easy to change, change 'em, see where you are from there.
