where is ignition switch connector
so im replacing my ignition switch and i removed the connectors the day before so when i get the part i can put it in right away. but idiot me i forgot where one of the connectors goes, i got the one in the fuse box but can't find the 7p bigger connector.

Well, I know on my eg the 7 prong connection was above and a little behind the fuse box....it was not visible from under the dash looking up. I needed to look straight forward under my left turn signal lever through a gap in the dash.....obviously your kickboard and steering column panels are removed. Hope that helps

I just replaced my 97 ek switch. Take the (3) screws out of the lower dash cover. The large piece that has the fuse box cover in it. Remove carefully as it has locking tabs that tend to get broke. If you don't remove this cover you can't see it or find it !!! I think it's in the general area of the fuse box and if I remember right it is a brown plug. I think I cut a wire tie so I could more easily plug into the connector. It was very easy to replace, but don't forget to turn the inition switch to the "0" on position b4 you try to insert the switch into the column or you can break the switch. You also have to remove (2) wires from the old plug and insert them into the correct locations on the new plug. Good luck
