Default Where have all the D series gone?

I think I've searched in every nook and cranny on this side of the country looking for a D15B7. I can't find a single one. I remember a few years ago I couldn't even sell a good one for $200 locally. Now the only ones I can find have the typical blown head gasket and if they are good, they cost about $800. What the heck has happened?

D15B7's are good motors in terms of fuel economy and umm.. yeah.

The D15B7 is an old and not very profitable motor today because they are usually in bad condition, hence making people sell them for a high price if in good condition.

My question is why would you need one so bad? You should make a want to buy post in the Honda MarketPlace. I'm sure that in time someone will have one that would be perfect for you, but I would rather look into a D16 VTEC as an alternative.

good luck finding one thats in good shape. i'd sell you mine because i'm pulling it out here in about a month or so for my ZC swap, but i decided that i'm going to rebuild it in case something happens to my ZC (its my daily driver ). your best bet is to head over to the junkyard, thats the cheapest place youll find one.

I'm still rockin' my z6. It has ~130,000 miles, and I try and make it look good, though.

I had posted a wtb without results. No junkyards around here have any left. The only thing I can locate are D15Y7's and they run about $550 for longblocks, then I'd have to deal with an ecu, converting it over to obd2 and all that crap. The D16Z6 would be a good replacement, but they seem to run about $650 within the 100 mile radius I'm looking at. This is quite ridiculous. I have two dead B7's and a B8 so I might lay everything out on the floor and see what I can make.

you dont have to convert crap to put a y7 in an eg. put on the stock intake manifold for the car and its plug and play

A 1.6 liter block will have different fueling requirements than a 1.5.
