Default Where to go to get racing header installed?

What's up HT,

I have a Toda Style Racing Header that i want to get installed but unsure where to take it.

I've tried to install it myself but apparently i can't connect the header to my stock cat so i'd have to get it professionally done.

Where can i take it to get installed to my stock cat?

Btw yes, it's being attached to my stock cat.

Thanks y'all.

Local muffler shop (or a buddy that can weld). Call around for pricing if that's the big issue, if not, find a reputable one, tell them what you need, and schedule an appointment.
Simple as that ^^

That "racing header" gets rid of the cat. What exhaust are you running ? get a test pipe then you can "DIY"

I know it does but i don't want to run a test pipe. I live in CA and they're damn strict on it. Plus i don't want the noise and sound issue.

Ok I can see that. noise wise it's really not that bad, you could always flash a garage soms cash to pass you on you'r emmisions test.

The inlet/outlet are different sizes. No clue how to get them connected.

Yeah def don't want that smell..

It's all stock bro. Whole plan was just to get these header installed temporarily until i get my exhaust system setup.

what exhaust are you looking at ? most aftermarket cat's aren't "bolt in" AFAIK. do you or know someone with welding skills as that's how most HFCs have to be put in

Most likely the Apexi WS2 as it's perfect for what i'm looking for. I don't want anything too loud.

But nah, that's why i want to find somewhere trustworthy so i can get it all installed when the time comes ya know.

i would recommend you getting the catback first , then take everything to a muffler shop, have them reflange and resize the cat to have it bolt up to the setup.

i dont know which part of the CA you are in, im in bayarea, used to be in socal, there is no such thing as " flashing cash to any shop to pass smog check"

get it done right at once , dont **** with the law for something small like this. you are not gonna gain 10hp without cat, not even worth it if you are not racing it

Not the first time he has told someone to do that. Pretty tired of seeing that.
For 1, it doesnt work that way. And 2, its not honest.

Op, imo the ws2 a quite pricey for what you get out of it. Ive had it, sold it, and pieced together my own that was just as quiet and cost much less. I still used name brand as well. Just an idea.

I'm almost positive you need a 2.5 inch JDM collector flange and donut gasket, purchase these first, then go to your local muffler shop and tell him you want to retain your cat, and present him your flange and gasket that can be had for 20-30$

You will also be looking at 40-100$ for the exhaust shops time to make it happen.

Done

Sell it on craigslist and leave the OEM one alone. That header is complete junk anyways.

+2 on getting a decent catback exhaust.

Edit: That Toda style won't even be BAR certified.

Used a yonaka catback, added a vibrant ultra quiet resonator while still having the yonaka res, chopped of the muffler and welded on a vibrant streetpower.

The only reason why i bought a new header was because i have a crack in my exhaust manifold. I decided to do an upgrade already apposed to getting another stock manifold.

I would just get another OEM manifold. Plenty of used ones for cheap.

Or sell the garbage you bought and get a BAR certified one like DC Sports. You'll fail visual inspection.

Usually anything with "style" is cheap ebay junk. I figured it was a $30 ebay header.

Still run into your issue with California's whack *** laws.
