ECU fuse blows when I let out the clutch
I have a strange problem with my '96 del sol VTEC.
I have swapped out the B16a2 for a lower mileage B16 SIR II.
going from OBD2a to OBD1 using a harness converter.
Problem was the other day I was driving around, stopped to get food, went to start the car, put it in reverse, rolled it back, put it into 1st and the car killed as soon as I let the clutch out.
Further troubleshooting shows that when I replace the ECU fuse (15amp under the hood) the car will start, will idle, will rev and will stay running indefinitely... until I put it in gear and let out the clutch.
At that moment the ECU fuse blows every time.
I have pulled the ECU out and checked the harness, it looks intact.
I have replaced the walbro fuel pump with the original as at first I thought it was the pump was bad as it would not prime on turning the key on.
EDIT** one other strange thing is that it is thowing a code. four solid lights and one blink. Code 41 Heated oxygen sensor heater.
Does anyone have any clues to this?
Thanks

Re: ECU fuse blows when I let out the clutch
So I decided to try another ECU in the car. Instead of the P30 JDM ECU that came with the motor, I tried my P28 out of my 95 civic. its chipped with uberdata but only has a normal B16 flash on it.
Car starts and drives.
Guess when an ECU dies it doesnt act any special way depending on the circuit that died in the ECU.
Now to find an unmolested JDM P30 ECU as the P28 doesnt have a Knock sensor daughter board.
