Yeah, I definitely agree...do you think it would be worth a shot to spraying myself and trying my best do do a descent job for under $100?
Also, I know there's a **** ton of controversy about the mini-me swap...but would that be a good place to start? Thx

new fenders, ditch the body kit. and not look like a ricer. thats where you should go from here

Trade the body kit and fenders for an SI front end...


Sell the 18s and get some 15s and use the change to get some peroformance mods...

get rid of that thing and get stock parts....throw some 15's on and drop it down....and MEGAN is a completely different universe then MUGEN... from the other parts you have, im going to say you have Megan....

sell it and buy a stock civic or a "jdm" civic.

It will cost you more money to fix all of that cars problems than it would to just start over with a blank non-riced canvas

car looks ok, i like the hood so i'd say keep that and the headlights but ditch the 18's and get some 15's, you'll seem a little faster, deff. fix the cel's and belts before something brakes and you grenade your head... but yeah obviously if you like the body kit and rice status then keep it but if you want to get rid of it you'd be suprised how easy it is to get rid of that stuff...

i don't know much about y7's/y8's, but i'm doing a d16a6 with a z6 head and it's supposed to make good power and is hella reliable.

I have put a lot of thought into downsizing the rims and ditching the body kit, but don't forget its a 4 door...I think the 18s sort of keep it from looking too "funny" imo...and I don't want to go back to 100% stock because I think its damn ugly stock. I may just convert the front end to something less radical, possibly oem with a lip

and u sure as hell aint keepin it from lookin funny. the front end aint even painted. let alone the obvious body kit

And thanks for the input...and if your read above..you'd see that I got the car like this when I was young and didn't know much about cars...I didn't put the body kit on it...

I trust that 16s or 15s would look good on it...I just see some 4-doors that look like crap w/ small rims

I guess I just never realized I could get enough $ from selling/trading the ****...

I know it's annoying as hell when people ask this kind of stuff, but what kind of money do you think I could get for the rims and the body kit? (minus the front bumper cause it has a ton of cracks in it) I could repair it and sell it for cheap tho.

Thanks everyone for the advice...I just thought it would be hella expensive to change the bodywork...I do hate it as much as you all do...actually more because I've had to deal with it for 2 long years. I might put some changes into action soon so I might come back to this page w/ updates.

If you do decide to keep that beastly body kit.... at least throw in an intercooler where the big ugly space is...make sure it's functional too....you know, with a turbo and all that fun stuff.

I wish! I'm afraid that fun stuff is a long way in my future still.

But I dug up some old bookmarks I made and checked out some JDM parts that I'm interested in.

Not saying that I'd buy from there, but I found some fenders from PasswordJDM for under $200 w/ the side marker holes, the side markers themselves, and a wiring harness for each...seems like a good deal.

I also found some SSK 053 15" flat black rims(spoon/rota replicas) on ebay for about $350 shipped....also seems like a good deal since I've read that they're pretty ****ing light.

As for the body kit I'll probably end up getting an OEM, not Si bumper and a lip, I'll replace the side skirts with OEM trim and probably do the same as the front to the back.

I don't want to get in over my head and try to do all this at once...so I'll probably start one by one w/ the body kit.

Once I finish with that, to save money, I want to just rattle can it flat black. I don't want to be worrying about a paint job when my car will be sitting on campus at Ohio State or in some lot nearby.

There uis a difference and wanting to do stuff yourself and a smart choice. At this point it would take more than the cars worth to put it back OEM.
