Where did you order your timing belt & water pump?
Where's the best place to order a timing belt & water pump? Also, would the VP parts be the same as ordering for the DX Civic?

Has all that. If you havent done a coolant flush in a while might be good to check that. What mileage have you done and at what mileage?

Id definitely do the tensior as well.....also look over your seals/gaskets. Im in the mindset that if you take something off (vavle cover gasket) I only put new back on. However if you did the vavle cover gasket 6 months ago, I probably wouldnt. Id do spark plug O rings while I had the valve cover off though.
Hard to say..what have you done maint wise and what haven't you- have you done accessory belts lately? When you pull it apart check motor mounts, oil change? pcv? air filter, trans fluid, etc etc. While you got it apart is the time.

I got mine at RockAuto. I ordered a Gates kit for the belt and tensioner(s). They seem to be good quality, a well-recognized name, and it gets good reviews on the web. I did spring for an Aisin WP (also on RockAuto).
I think for the D15B7 it came out to about $80 total, without seals etc. I've used these parts on 3 Hondas and had good results.

ironically the last belt I got was for my sisters car and it was from the marketplace here...oem in bag for 25 shipped.
or in other words...check hondamarketplace once in a while - theres some good stuff out there.

Majestic Honda aka Honda Automotive parts . com, the selection menu is set up just like how we had it at the dealership. Easy to look up parts and great prices.

What do yall suggest for coolant & automatic transmission fluid? I remember some cars being specific when it comes to green or orange coolant.

Many people say go only Honda coolant, but i've been fine using prestone in civic for the with no issues.
I would have used Honda when i did my water pump, but the dealer was out, and I couldn't wait.
For ATF, Honda only, and I mean only Honda.

Re: Where did you order your timing belt & water pump?
I mean, some people have a honda dealer near, and some people are 2 hours from a honda dealer. I use both honda atf, and have 1 car running vavloline max life in it --- I see no difference between the two.
However, quart of atf from honda is 6 bucks, and a quart of vavloline is 6 bucks...so for the same price, oem is the way to go. Unless of course you get the urge to change your oil at 12 am, and the only place open is walmart and in that case...vavloline it is.
